Donald Trump’s talk of annexing Canada is a cruel power grab dressed up in fake excuses. I’m calling it out for what it is: A resource raid and a strategic Arctic land grab.

Economic Integration? You Lie.

Trump claims annexing Canada would “fix” trade imbalances.

Canada and the U.S. already have one of the most balanced, cooperative trade relationships on the planet. NAFTA—sorry, USMCA—was rewritten twice under Trump’s watch, and still, we trade fairly and frequently.

So what’s the truth behind this excuse? He wants direct access to our natural resources—our forests, our freshwater, our critical minerals, and our oil. He doesn’t want trade; he wants ownership.

Border Security? You’re the Threat Asshole.

Now he’s pretending we’re a security threat? That we’re the source of America’s drug problems? Come on.

Canada has one of the most secure, law-abiding, and coordinated borders in the world. If he’s worried about fentanyl, he might want to look at his own ports and policies.

The real play here? Control of the Arctic. As the ice melts, new shipping routes open, and Trump wants the U.S. to dominate the North. Canada’s Arctic presence—our land, our Indigenous communities, our sovereignty—isn’t up for grabs.

“One People, One Border”? Screw You!

Trump’s claim that the U.S. and Canada are “naturally one” is the kind of arrogant fantasy we’ve come to expect from someone who’s never opened a Canadian history book.

We are a distinct, diverse, and sovereign nation. We chose a different path—built on public healthcare, peacekeeping, and democracy that doesn’t idolize billionaires.

This comes right out of Putin’s playbook: “Ukraine doesn’t really exist – we have always been one people” – his justification for the destruction of a people and their their distinct culture. Behind Trump’s “shared culture” talk lies a simple motive: he wants our land and everything under it.

Boosting U.S. Global Power? Not For Long Shithead. 

The idea that the U.S. needs Canada to enhance its global standing is laughable. What it really wants is our resources, our strategic territory, and our stable democracy to mask its own internal chaos.Trump doesn’t care about global diplomacy. He cares about control. He thinks he can bulldoze our sovereignty to get his hands on rare earth minerals and Arctic bases.

But the world is getting wise. He’s going to drain his power into the swamp he built – when the infighting starts, the people revolt and Putin turns on him…

Canada Is Not for Sale. Not Now. Not Ever.

This isn’t partnership. This isn’t diplomacy. It’s colonialism in a red tie, and we see right through it. Our land, our people, our resources, and our way of life are not bargaining chips in someone else’s ego trip.

We’re not a state. We’re a country. A strong, proud, and independent one.
